Online Summer Advanced Math (K-4th Graders)
Our online math classes feature a new way of learning math that’s not confined to one’s grade level!
These classes will be held from:
Math 1A & 1B: June 10th-August 5th
Math 2A & 2B: June 11th-August 6th
Students will initially be grouped by their self-proclaimed level of proficiency in math and further evaluated during classes to determine the best level for them.
Math 1A is held every Wednesday from 4:30-5:15pm
Math 1B is held every Wednesday from 5:30-6:15pm
Math 2A is held every Thursday from 4:30-5:15pm
Math 2B is held every Thursday from 5:30-6:15pm
*Minimum of 4 students must be enrolled for class to start
These classes are geared towards students grades K-4th who are seeking to solidify their mathematics foundation and eventually advance to a higher than current grade level understanding of math.
Classes Offered & Skills That Will Be Covered:
Math 1A
(If your child is already familiar with these topics, please enroll them in Math 2A)
Addition/Subtraction to 20
Adding/Subtracting in columns (no carrying, no borrowing)
Place value
Telling time
Word problems
Math 2A
Multiplication/Division 2-10
Order of operations (add/ subtract with parentheses)
Telling time & calendar
Word problems
Math 1B (graduates of Math 1A will move on to Math 1B)
Adding/Subtracting 2-3-4 digit numbers (carrying/borrowing)
Place value/Rounding
Telling Time
Word problems
Math 2B (graduates of Math 1B will move on to Math 2B)
Multiplying in columns (2-3-4 digit by 1 digit)
Divide by 10, 100, whole tens, whole hundreds
Divide 3-4 digit by 1 digit numbers
Division with remainder
Order of operations (add/subtract/multiply with and without parentheses)
*Students who sufficiently meet our standards for Math 1A & 2A will later advance to Math 1B & 2B classes (respectively)
